Years ago, Rick Khosla, founder of Phoenix Breweries—a seasoned entrepreneur and a true food and wine connoisseur—stood at the base of Mt. Everest, surrounded by silence, towering peaks, and air so pure it felt almost unreal. Every breath was crisp. Every drop of water tasted alive—clean, energizing, untouched by the modern world.

That moment stayed with him.

Not as a memory… but as a mission.

For decades, Rick chased that feeling—the clarity, the freshness, the purity of the Himalayas. From world-class vineyards to renowned breweries, from bustling cities to remote landscapes, he searched for a way to capture that same experience in a single sip. As someone with a refined palate and deep appreciation for taste, balance, and craftsmanship, he knew exactly what he was looking for—but nothing came close.
